We are very interested in meeting CSPI and nonpoison certified pharmacists, registered nurses and poison information providers interested in expanding their careers. Our call center hums with 600-800 calls per day! We encourage our staff to pursue their interests in research, public health, and educational presentations.
Training takes approximately 12 weeks – 40 hours per week
We are instituting a program that will allow our more seasoned CSPI veterans to perform their duties remotely!
In addition, our Poison Center presents opportunities in many disciplines including, but not limited to, Information and Telecommunication professionals, Project Managers, Call Center Business Managers, Public Health Educators and Administrative Staff.
The Researched Abuse, Diversion and Addiction-Related Surveillance System provides timely and geographic specific data to the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory agencies, policymakers and medical/health officials to understand abuse, misuse and diversion of prescription drugs in the United States.
Our rapidly expanding Research Department has opportunities for anyone with a desire to be a part of a team that is a leader in public health research. Some of our research studies include, but are not limited to, prescription drug abuse, analgesics toxicity (over-the-counter pain relievers), Phase II and Phase III drug trials for new antidotes, anti-venom research studies (snakes, spiders, etc.) and literature reviews.
Although we have many different opportunities we are always very interested in speaking with individuals with strong backgrounds in Biostatistics.
Our Appointment Center provides a critical service for Denver Health’s patients. We have outstanding entry level health care positions that require strong customer service skills in a call center environment.
You will be helping Denver Health patients make appointments with various specialists. In addition, you will be helping with insurance verification and explaining benefits to patients.
If you have strong computer skills, an excellent phone demeanor and a desire to help Denver residents with their health care information needs, this could be an ideal position for you!


Our highly trained pharmacists and registered nurses work on the phone with patients and health care providers from around the country. Primary responsibilities are to respond to caller's pharmaceutical concerns, provide accurate drug information and document the results of these conversations in compliance with Food and Drug Administration regulations and the protocols of our pharmaceutical partners.

Some important skills that will help you to succeed here include: outstanding customer service, a very high comfort level of working on a computer, the ability to multitask and a desire to be a part of a team of like minded and skilled professionals.

The Denver Health Nurse Advice Line is always looking for qualified RNs to work independently doing nurse telephone triage for clients of Denver Health and the Community of Denver. The Denver Health Nurse Advice Line is a busy part of Denver Health's care system and provides (personalized) health care advice and recommendations to approximately 84,000 customers every year.
Skills required to perform in these positions include: outstanding patient relations skills utilizing the phone, excellent computer skills including entry of information swiftly into the computer and the ability to think quickly and independently utilizing your nursing knowledge, computer guidelines and common sense.
