Careers at the Rocky Mountain Poison Center
We are very interested in meeting CSPI and non poison certified Registered Nurses interested in expanding their careers. We encourage our staff to pursue their interests in research, public health, and educational presentations.
We have a program that will allow our more seasoned CSPI veterans to perform their duties remotely.
In addition, our Poison Center presents opportunities in many disciplines including, but not limited to, Information and Telecommunication professionals, Project Managers, Call Center Business Managers, Public Health Educators, Poison Information Providers (unlicensed) and Administrative Staff.
Careers with the Research Department-RADARS® System
Our rapidly expanding Research Department has opportunities for anyone with a desire to be a part of a team that is a leader in public health research. Some of our research studies include, but are not limited to, prescription drug abuse, analgesics toxicity (over-the-counter pain relievers), Phase II and Phase III drug trials for new antidotes, anti-venom research studies (snakes, spiders, etc.) and literature reviews.
The Researched Abuse, Diversion and Addiction-Related Surveillance System provides timely and geographic specific data to the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory agencies, policymakers and medical/health officials to understand abuse, misuse and diversion of prescription drugs in the United States.
Our research department routinely has opportunities for Research Assistants, Researchers, Research Project Coordinators and Biostatisticians.
Careers with the Appointment Center
Our Appointment Center provides a critical service for Denver Health’s patients. We have outstanding entry level health care positions that require strong customer service skills in a call center environment.
You will be helping Denver Health patients make appointments with various specialists. In addition, you will be helping with insurance verification and explaining benefits to patients.
If you have strong computer skills, an excellent phone demeanor and a desire to help Denver residents with their health care information needs, this could be an ideal position for you.
Careers with the Denver Health NurseLine
The Denver Health Nurse Advice Line is staffed with Registered Nurses to work independently doing nurse telephone triage for clients of Denver Health and the Community of Denver. The Denver Health Nurse Advice Line is a busy part of Denver Health’s care system and provides health care advice and recommendations to approximately 84,000 customers every year.
Careers at the Rocky Mountain Drug Information Center
Our highly trained pharmacists and registered nurses work on the phone with patients and health care providers from around the country. Primary responsibilities are to respond to caller's pharmaceutical concerns, provide accurate drug information and document the results of these conversations in compliance with Food and Drug Administration regulations and the protocols of our pharmaceutical partners.

The Spanish Line is another critical service provided by Denver Health and is a part of the RMPDC Dug Center divisions. Our Spanish Line personnel bridge the language gap between DH medical staff and limited English proficiency DH patients and their families. By doing so, we have become the embodiment of Denver Health’s goal: “Care for all people regardless of gender, ethnicity or social class.” Our department strives to assure the finest health care services possible and takes pride in helping to make health care understandable and available to everyone in the community.
