Development and Validation of An Electronic Medication History Assessment Tool (eMedHAT®)

Purpose The purpose of this research study is to investigate trends and patterns in medication use among generally healthy individuals. Knowing this information will help researchers develop a better, more accurate medication history tool.
Eligibility Generally healthy adults, 21 years old or older, and have taken at least one dose of over-the-counter or prescription medication in the last 10 days.

This research study requires two study visits that will last approximately 60 minutes each. Each study visit will occur at 990 Bannock Street, in Denver, (near 8th and Speer).

During the study you will be asked to:

    • Provide informed consent and maintain a medication diary for 30 days. During the 30 day period you will be asked to document your use of prescription and over-the-counter medications and alcohol.
    • Upon completion of the 30 day diary period, you will be asked to return your diary and attend a study visit which will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. During the study visit, you will be asked to provide a detailed medical history and information pertaining to current illnesses and medical conditions.
    • You will be contacted by phone one time per week during your participation in this study.
    • Compensation will be provided.
